How can we best include local BSA in this website? Is there a master list of BSA that can be invited to join?

This might be helpful in creating local threads to encourage communication and feedback from, and amongst, BSA members and their parents.

Any thoughts?

Have your district roundtable leaders and commissioners get the webiste info out to leaders and families. Our District and Council have newsletters - that's how I found it.

Another effective way is to email the link to everyone on your email list. Most everyone now has email and would click on the link if you emailed it to them.

I just found out about this webiste on "Cub-L". There is allot of potential for a site like this as long as it is allowed to be operated by the ones using it.

If you are not familiar with Cub-L it is a email subscription that allows you to communicate with other Cub Scout leaders/parents. It is a great resource as long as you have been saving the messages.

The forums area here, if used like Cub-L, will give a newcomer access to all previous discussions and be an valuable resource.

Another way is to link ScoutParents to your own unit's website.

I will mention this site on my next podcast and link it from my site. Also, I will forward it to my DE...

Eastern Carolina Council just had it's Program Extravaganza. They were playing the Scout Parents on the big screen. Several Leaders mentioned it. It was located where we had lunch, OA, and closing ceremony. I wouuld say on average everyone got about 1 1/2 to 2 hours exposure. Cub Leaders seemed very interested. :D

I have given a little taste of this initiative at our last roundtable. The response was positive. I think the more the unit leaders know about the program the more it will take hold.
