The Cubmaster and I have been trying to come up with a list of ideas about letting people know about School Night To Join Scouting. What we came up with is found here:

Those are some great ideas. What I have found to be the greatest recruiting tool is the boys themselves. Have them bring a non-Scout friend or friends to a meeting or for that matter set up a special event for them and their parents. I don’t know if you have seen the material that Scout Parent has available. It is awesome, check it out!

Buttons, the radical Boy Scout, who is featured on various videos on Youtube and the Melrose Scouting Productions Podcast (http://melrosetroop68.org/podcast/podcast.xml) was recently sited at a local Cub Pack's School Night rally. How did it go? Our school night went well. That's pretty outstanding since we didn't get a better spot to set up and were actually in the corner. We're going to need to double our efforts next year, though. Our largest Den is Weblos II, and they're crossing over! Yikes. :|
Like last Spring, I will start papering the kndergarten and first grade classes.
