BSA National has established thescoutzone.org, a Web site and program focused on Scout recruitment. The site is oriented towards both boys and parents, and includes many compelling testimonials.
Do you have a favorite Scout link that you'd like to share? Please post it in this thread.

The Internet is humongous and growing every day. Heck it grows every second of everyday. And while it is easy to see this as a wonderful enriching thing it is important to remember that a lot of what is out here is garbage. A LOT! The problem is not just all the inappropriate content, the problem is that a lot of it is inaccurate. Unfortunately a lot of sites that relate to scouting are innacurate.
I would caution new parents and "experienced" volunteers alike to stay away from sites that are not official BSA sites and focus on the contents of official BSA sites and official BSA resources. The BSA is getting better every month at producing and managing quality web resources. This site is a good example of that. But many sites exist using BSA terms and phrases in their domain names and BSA logos on their pages that appear to be BSA run sites when in fact they are not. Remember that the programs of the BSA flourished for years without the Internet and that it is not required in order to deliver a quality program today. The BSA sites have excellent tools, training, program resources etc. on them.
I am sure you will see more links to them on this site soon.
But there are sites out there many run by nice volunteers but with a lot of bad information that looks really official. So stick to the BSA resources for the most accurate BSA Information.
The way to deliver the best possible scouting program is to learn and follow the official prgram.
At least that has been my experience.
