How is your Pack keeping your Pack going this summer?
Day Camp or a resident camp for Cubs are good ideas that you should use, but what is your Pack doing? What are the events you have planned for your Cubs?

I like to plan 2 events for each of the Summer months. One can be an outing such as a baseball game (which for me requires traveling) and the other is close to home and cheap. This way all the pack families have an opportunity to participate regardless of their financial situation.
Food pantrys are always low in the Summer months so this year I'm planning a Good Turn for America food drive at a local grocery store.
Other close and cheap options are; water carnval, raingutter regatta, pack hike or pack picnic.

We are planning to be in the local Memorial day Parade, and in church the day before (veteran's Sunday at the chartering church to sit opposite local vets) We plan on having fliers for recruitment to hand to the people on the route.

June we have Camping at crossover. We are going to have a big cerimony where the kids all cross the bridge into the next level and recieve their neckerchiefs.

July we are shooting off rockets and we have reserved some space at the local summer camp for Fun Pack Weekend.

August we are having a fun with water pack meet, with water balloon catch and a recycle raingutter regatta, where the boys make boats out of milk caps and toothpicks and clay with a paper sail.

Hope this helps on the ideas!:)

Thanks Dragonmom and welcome to Scoutparents.

Don't forget with your August Water Pack meeting to have watermelon. The boys love it as to the parents.

We've lucked out. Our district camping directors, who also happen to be the camp rangers for our local scout camp; are hosting three summertime activities to help our packs earn the award.
