I'm curious what you do to kick-off your program year? We have an Orientation and Ice cream social.

For the Pack we used the Pirates theme seeing as we also begin our popcorn sale then. We sang Cub Scout Pirates to the theme of Spong Bob. Made Pirate key chain people and the boys walked the plank to reciever there summer awards.
Our first event of the "school year" is our annual Fishing Derby held on the Sunday before the first day of class.
