I just went up to council to pick up Belt Loops and Pins my boys had earn. There was 148 BL and 18 pins. My question is 9 of the boys earned Archery BL and pin can that go on one card or do I need to make up seprate cards for each? Same thing happened with Fishing. I don't want to cheat the boys but after awhile it does add up.

Thanks for your responce in advance.

When you say "it all adds up" are you telling us that you are financing the awards for the Den?

Our Pack uses a seperate card. We also issue another card if the boy earns the BL or Pin again during an actiivity or camp. To answer 1st Mate's question, the largest part of our Pack's budget is awards. The only award that is purchased by the dens are their immediate recognition kits.

1st Mate I couldn't afford to do that. I spent from our budget $370.50 for awards,I had to temporaily chip in $17.50.

It just that my son wouldn't care if he got one card or two I was just wondering what other Packs do.

Den5Pack457 Am I understanding you right that if a boy earned his Archery Belt loop at Day camp then again at Res camp you award them for each?
I though they only earned them once a rank.

Each pack is probably different based on their individual budgets. As a Cubmaster and this goes back about 10 years we budgeted $9 per scout for recognitions. If there was a pocket certificate that went with an award the scouts got it.

I Think the decision needs to be the pack committee's. Rather than decide on the budget and give the recognitions as long as there is money left, they need to decide in advance what recognitions they want to be able to give a scout and then determine a budget based on what they want to do.
