It would be nice to have seperate catagories for Cubs and Scouts and then advertise the website. It should fill quickly.
Maybe something like this...
Cub Scouts
Tiger
Den Meetings / Go See It Ideas
Wolf
Acheivements / Electives Ideas
Bear
Acheivements / Electives Ideas
Webelo

And there really should be a place for us to introduce ourselves :)

I agree... There needs to be a breakout between Cubbies and Boy Scouts.. there are many differences to avoid confusion to new parents between the programs, it would be helpful to break them out.
By the way...
Hi I'm Jerry.. I am the Scoutmaster of Troop 664 in Gresham, Oregon.
And I love Scouting.

I agree that there should be a breeakour between Cubs and Boy Scouts. Some our concerns might be just about one or the other and not apply to all.
Oh Yeah, My name is Bob Klimas. Now I am Unit Commissioner, Associate OA Chapter Adviser, Weblos to Scout Transition Chairman, and anything else that the DE can think up.
All this in 1 hour a week. I love Scouting and would not trade for any other activity.

I would like to see a subject area for Councils and Regions to post notices about University of Scouting, College of Commissioner Science and Woodbadge courses that are being open to scouters in their respected areas.

Keep the great ideas/suggestions coming! Our team is currently in the process of deciding how to best reorganize the forum.
Thanks for your continuing support of Scouting and ScoutParents!

Forum Stickies:
There should be more stickies in the general forums that describe the purpose of the forum--something more descriptive than just a couple word blurb.
This would be especially helpful in forums like "Help ScoutParents 2008 Plan - November 1, 2007 'Do its best to Make It' Forum". I mean, exactly what sort of help is needed? What exactly is the "ScoutParents 2008 Plan"? How exactly are we defining "Make It"?

Also... the "Training" thread should be in its own forum under the Leaders Forum...
and, move the "Activity Badges" thread into the Cubscouts Forum...
Everything is looking great!!!

For those looking for regional activities the best place to look would be at the BSA's regional websites. With over 300 independent councils a single site for advertising council events would be cumbersome.
Each region hosts its own Web site that promotes region wide activities they are as follows:
Western Region http://www.wrbsa.org
Southern Region http://www.srbsa.org
Northeast Region http://www.nerbsa.org
From these sites you will be able to link to the regional OA sites and the Regional Venturing and Sea Scout sites
The Central Region does not have Regional site currently operating, but does have a Central Region Venturing site and an OA site. The Venturing site shows activities within the region related to high adventure, Powder Horn, Sea Scouts, and Wood Badge training throughout the region.
You will find it at http://www.crventuring.org
These are official sites of the BSA and are a great resource.
