Looking for a Cub Scout troop in Pt. Charlotte, FL

Hi. I'd like to enroll my son in the Cub Scouts. Friends of mine have had children in the Scouts and I believe membership has really made an impact on how they choose to live their lives. That was in Sarasota and the boys are much older.

We live in Port Charlotte now and my son is 5 and not in school yet because his birthday is at the end of the year. We are close to North Port and Punta Gorda.

If anyone knows where I can find a list of local Chapters or has a recommendation for a specific troop, I'd really appreciate it.

If you enter your zip code you will get a listing of all of the Cub Scout Packs in your area by town. You will also get contact info for your local Boy Scout Council (Southwest Florida Council).

You will have to wait a year for your son to be eligible to join a Cub Scout Pack. Boys can be a Tiger Cub Scout if they are in 1st grade, or 7 years old.

His year in kindergarten will help him to grow a bit, get comfortable in his new area & become friends with the boys in his class. Then, at the end of his K year, he & his buddies can join the local Cub Pack together!
